Bathtub Refinishing & Reglazing

When we reglaze a bathtub, our technician starts by removing the caulk from around the tub and then uses a special decontaminate to remove any residue that has built up over the years. After the tub is cleaned, the technician will prepare the entire room, covering the floor, sink, vanity, toilet and walls around the tub to make sure there is no chance of overspray. He will then apply a special undercoat both for adhesion and it has a rust inhibitor in it so it actually adds length to the life of the bathtub. Next 3 to 5 coats of a special synthetic porcelain is applied to the surface of the bathtub.

There are a lot of products on the market used for bathtub painting, but the topcoat we use is the only product for actual reglazing, not just painting, a bathtub. It was formulated for a superior finish and far exceeds industry standards. Sure, it costs more but it is worth every penny. We want to make sure the job is done with the best possible finish.
